In January-July 2015, production of cement in China fell 5% year-on-year to 1.29 billion tonnes.
Meanwhile, profit generated by cement sales contracted about 64% to CNY 14.70 billion (€2.06 billion/US$2.30 billion).
In July, 2015, the average market price of cement fell by about CNY 80/tonne, compared to a fall of CNY 51/tonne in early 2015.
The cement industry recorded CNY 1.42 billion in profit during the month, down by 63.45% in comparison to June 2015.
