Volvo’s wheeled loader facility in Arvika, Sweden, recently celebrated its 130th anniversary by hosting a family fun day – including a record breaking gathering of LEGO wheeled loaders.
A total of 61 LEGO models were gathered to set the World Record for the highest number of assembled LEGO Technic Volvo L350F wheeled loaders in one room.

Launched in October 2014, the L350F is the result of an eight-month collaboration between LEGO designers and Volvo CE.
“We have sold over 250 LEGO machines to employees since launching the LEGO Technic Volvo L350F Wheeled Loader,” said Johan Hansson, logistic developer at Volvo CE. “We’re constantly seeking new ways to continue to push creative boundaries and adding a world record to the list would be the perfect touch,” he continued.
Guests were provided with entertainment throughout the course of the day and one of the highlights was the ‘memory lane’ themed machine show which showed the evolution from past to present machines. Visitors were encouraged to tour the museum to look at old cars and learn about the factory’s history. The open day also provided LEGO enthusiasts with the opportunity to test drive the remote controlled models and experience the wheel loader’s impressive functions.
“We are honoured to have celebrated this key milestone with our employees through a family-oriented fun day, said Mats Bredborg, global director of Brand & Core Value Management for Volvo CE. “We look forward to many more successful years ahead and hope we can continue to forge and build lasting relationships with our customers.”
