Turkish firm Cimsa's profit hits €62mn in the first nine months of 2015

Turkish cement producer Cimsa’s profit soared by 25% year-on-year to TRY 199 million (€62 million) in the first nine months of 2015, while sales revenue amounted to TRY 865 million (€275.28 million). Cimsa's profit was TRY 70 million (€22.27 million) in the third quarter of 2015. The firm has been active in the sector for more than 40 years.

Vicat posts 6.1% rise in turnover for first nine months of 2014

French construction materials group Vicat has posted a 6.2% rise in turnover (up 7.4% at a constant scope and exchange rate) for the third-quarter of 2014.

Over a nine-month period, turnover rose by 6.1% year-on-year (up 9.7% at a constant scope and exchange rate) to €1.85 billion (US$2.32 billion).

During this period, concrete and aggregate activity was up 0.9%, other products and services up 1.9%, and cement sales up 15.8% at a constant scope and exchange rate.

Italcementi sells Afyon stake to Cimsa

Italy's Italcementi, a multinational company which produces cement, ready-mix concrete and construction aggregates, has reached an agreement, through Ciments Francais, to sell 51% of its Afyon Turkish unit to Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret. The agreed price for the sale of its stake has been finalized at 57.5 million Turkish lira (€24.9 million).
