Swedish apartments look to concrete

Concrete is by far the most frequent material used for shell structures of multi-apartment blocks in Sweden. In 2014, its market share was 88.6%, up by 0.6 percentage units compared with 2013, according to data from the Swedish statistical office (SCB), referred to by Cementa in a press release. The increase is mainly attributed to the cities of Gothenburg and Malmö. Wood accounted for 8.9% of shell structures in 2014, and steel for 2.6%.

Concrete is by far the most frequent material used for shell structures of multi-apartment blocks in Sweden.

In 2014, its market share was 88.6%, up by 0.6 percentage units compared with 2013, according to data from the Swedish statistical office (SCB), referred to by 1591 Cementa in a press release.

The increase is mainly attributed to the cities of Gothenburg and Malmö.

Wood accounted for 8.9% of shell structures in 2014, and steel for 2.6%.
