Vietnam’s VICEM to produce 22mn tonnes of cement

Viet Nam Cement Industry (VICEM) has aimed to produce 22 million tonnes of cement and 17 million tonnes of clinker in 2016. It expects clinker and cement consumption will reach 24 million tonnes. Viet Nam Cement Industry (VICEM) has aimed to produce 22 million tonnes of cement and 17 million tonnes of clinker in 2016.

It expects clinker and cement consumption will reach 24 million tonnes. This will result in a profit before tax worth VND 1.80 trillion (€73.57 million/US$80.3 million) and revenue worth VND 33 trillion.

Meanwhile, there was a cement surplus of 30 million tonnes in 2015.

Cement demand expanded by 9.1% from 2014 to 53.18 million tonnes in 2015. Cement output for 2015 stood at around 81 million tonnes.
