It is projected that Vietnam clinker and cement consumption will reach 71 million – 73 million tonnes in 2015, a climb of 4% to 7% on the forecasted 2014 figure. Of the 73 million tonnes, around 52 million-53 million tonnes is expected to be used nationally with the remainder exported. It is estimated that Vietnamese cement consumption will reach 68 million tonnes in 2014, a climb of 3% from a year ago.
During January to October 2014, 56.54 million tonnes of clinker and cement were sold by Vietnam cement producers. At present, there are 74 cement output lines in the Southeast Asia-based country.
