The cement industry in Vietnam is projected to report a yearly output capacity of 81.56million tonnes across 76 production lines by end-2015, disclosed the Ministry of Construction.
Meanwhile, consumption for the commodity in 2015 is predicted to increase by between 1.5% and 2% year-on-year to a range of 72 million to 74 million tonnes comprising 19million to 20million tonnes in foreign markets and between 53million and 54million tonnes in the domestic market.
The total volume of cement consumed in Vietnam in June 2015 rose 12% to 5.68million tonnes, with sales volume in the foreign and domestic market standing at 1.05million and 4.63million tonnes, respectively.
For January-June 2015, the total volume of cement consumption in the country grew 6% to 34.16million tonnes comprising 8.19million tonnes (up 8%) for exports and 25.97million tonnes (up 5%) for domestic sales.
