Get high-level advice on how to get the most out of your equipment fleet and boost your company’s top and bottom lines at two important new European aggregates conferences backed by Aggregates Business.

The first event - called Agg-intel Europe - is being organised and supported by ABE and will take place on June 27 2016 at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Manchester Airport, the day before the Hillhead show opens.

The second conference is scheduled for Brussels on November 17.

The headline themes at both events will be optimising fleet management, improving your productivity and profitability levels; how to get most out of manufactured sand; equipment technology; land management best practice and the impact of “big data” on the international quarrying sector.

A key speaker in Manchester will be Xavier Therin, co-founder of the minerals industry consultancy AR5, who will be taking delegates through how to get the best out of their machinery and technology on the eve of the UK’s biggest equipment show, Hillhead 2016.

Therin will discuss how operational changes can simultaneously increase your production volumes, reduce your cost base, and decrease safety and environmental risks. He will be looking at new initiatives focused on asset optimisation and the sort of processes you should be using to achieve faster and more sustainable returns.

A chartered mining engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the metals and minerals industry, Therin was previously Lafarge’s Vice President, Land, Mineral Resources and Mining.

For a look at the “bigger picture,” delegates will also be addressed by Julia Georgi of Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting team. Georgi, who specialises in commercial performance improvement in industrial environments, previously worked at Lafarge and HeidelbergCement and will give high-level guidance on making aggregates operations significantly smarter and leaner.

She will also talk the best way to define your company’s market position, your customer purchasing types and the right sales organisation to back it all up.

Both of these important new European events are part of a programme of one-day international aggregates industry conferences being planned under the Agg-intel umbrella, all backed by the Aggregates Business Europe, Aggregates Business International, and www.aggregateresearch.com group of leading industry magazines, websites and newsletters.

Further conferences are planned for Cleveland, USA on October 19 and Hong Kong in the Spring of 2017. They will be practical events supported by up-to-date case studies. The Agg-intel events have been designed to help you run your business better, now and in the future.

They will also give manufacturers a platform to present the latest technological developments, and to explain their potential impact on the industry
