Russia’s Pervaya Nerudnaya Kompaniya (PNK) will independently mine crushed stone at the Gavrilovo crushed stone quarry in the Leningrad region.

In the last ten years, the facility has been leased and developed by Semiozerskoe Karyeroupravlenie of the Technostrom group (TSM Group).

It is reported that after PNK refused to extend the leasing agreement, Technostrom's plant that accounted for some 9-17% of the regional crushed stone market, was closed.

According to experts, PNK expects to supply crushed stone for the construction of the Moscow-St. Petersburg highway.

PNK's investments in the quarry development are estimated at RUB 600 million (€7.98 million/US$9.11 million).
