CRH, Microsoft, Google take top spots in Irish Times best firms' list

According to The Irish Times' list of the top 1,000 companies in Ireland, the company that garnered the top spot is Irish building materials group 723 CRH with an annual turnover of €18.70 billion. 4452 Microsoft takes the second spot on the top five with an annual turnover of €13.7 billion followed by 2996 Google with a turnover of €12.5 billion. The remaining two companies on the top five ranking are DCC and Dell Ireland.

A total of 47% of the 1,000 companies reported a growth in turnover, whereas the percentage of companies that recorded a turnover decline was 28%.

A 41% growth in turnover was reported by companies in the construction industry.
