Basf supplies setting accelerators for Spanish rail tunnels

Basf Construction Chemicals Espana and its tunnels division Meyco Global Underground will supply setting accelerators for the construction of the tunnels on the Zamora-Orense stretch of the Madrid-Galicia high-speed railway line in Spain. 4860 BASF Construction Chemicals Espana and its tunnels division 7048 MEYCO Global Underground will supply setting accelerators for the construction of the tunnels on the Zamora-Orense stretch of the Madrid-Galicia high-speed railway line in Spain.

Basf is supplying additives for the production of concrete to be used in the tunnels.

Since October 2012, all construction companies involved in the project including Geotunel, Nortunel, Vias y Construcciones, Obras Subterraneas and Isolux-Corsan Corvian are using Basf's setting accelerators to speed up the setting times of concrete.
