One of Oman’s leading infrastructure companies, Galfar Engineering SAOG, originally requested a scalping plant from Genserv, and required machines capable of providing output capacities ranging from 700-900tonnes/hour and, more importantly, that were mobile, as they planned to use them for roads and building projects all over Oman.
The team at Genserv recommended the Warrior 2400 scalping screen, and Galfar Engineering ordered two to meet its requirements for the job.
When production started, the customer was “so satisfied with its capabilities” that it expanded its fleet to include four more units, including the 100th production model of the Warrior 2400. All six machines are now working at the Al Batinah Expressway road project (Phase 1, 45km), where high quality sub-base is being produced from feed material of a nearby wadi (river bed).
According to the customer: “We are very happy with the performance of our plant. Each machine is working for up to 20 hours per day and producing high volumes of material. We find that the machines offer a low operating cost per tonne and we know that we can count on high speed local support from Genserv when we need it.”
The Warrior 2400 screens are configured with a 150mm punch plate on the top deck and with a 63mm aperture mesh on the bottom deck, giving three end products. The machine is specially designed for large-scale operators in the quarrying and mining sectors and is capable of handling larger feed sizes. It features a heavy-duty incline screen with a high amplitude triple-shaft drive mechanism, lending it to screening, scalping, two or three-way separation and stockpiling of materials like aggregates, topsoil, composts, coal, construction, demolition waste and iron ore.
User benefits include a slide- out tail conveyor facility to aid media access and a load-sensing collection conveyor circuit to avoid blockages.
