Powerscreen's new Warrior 800 will soon be joined by a range-topping 2400 model

Just months after its merger with 3652 Terex Pegson, 447 Powerscreen has launched the first in what is expected to be a line of new products over the coming months, in the lead up to 386 Bauma. While all new machines will be branded as Powerscreen, the Pegson name is set to stay as part of the model name on the Powerscreen mobile crushing range.

Powerscreen has added the Warrior 800 model to its screening range - the smallest in the Warrior range alongside the 1400 and 1800. Nonetheless, the range is soon to be topped out with the launch of the Warrior 2400 before the end of the year.Specification

Special features: Folding tail conveyor with integral slide; Fast set-up; LCD machine condition display and controls"The launch of the Warrior 800 underlines our commitment to continuous product development and innovation, even in these more challenging market conditions," said Powerscreen global director of sales Pat Brian. "We will continue to invest heavily in our products so that our customers have access to the very best equipment." The new machine is a multipurpose heavy duty incline twodeck screen, capable of stockpiling, three-way splitting or scalping before and after crushing units. The screenbox will accept a wide variety of screen media making it a versatile machine, suitable for a variety of applications including topsoil, recycling, construction and demolition waste, sand and gravel and aggregates. The Warrior 800 has been designed to accept material feed size up to 400mm and handle up to 300tonnes per hour capacity, depending on the application.

The 800 features include a low profile feed hopper with rear door for direct feeding from Powerscreen Pegson XH250 and Powerscreen Pegson Metrotrak machines without benching. A new two-deck screen box measuring 2.77m x 1.22m, high conveyor discharge heights and an innovative folding tail conveyor with integral slide out facility aids screen media changes.

According to Powerscreen, set-up time and ease of operation are improved by the hydraulic folding tail and side conveyors, the rigid feed hopper sides and two speed tracks. A new simple to use electrical control system allows operators to monitor and diagnose the machine on site via an LCD display without specialist tools.

The new model will be available as either a tracked or wheeled version and Powerscreen has confirmed that the new model will be on display at Bauma in Munich, in 2010.
