3702 CDE Global has appointed Martin Jackson as global custom care manager to develop the suite of after-sales services offered by CDE through the custom care department for CDE Global, CDEnviro and CDE do Brasil.

Having gained almost 16 years’ of experience in field-based services including the mechanical and electrical engineering industries, he joins the custom care team to take the lead in the strategic development of the Custom Care Department across all operations and throughout the company’s global partner network.

“Martin is a welcome addition to our Custom Care Team and will have responsibility for the further development of the custom care offerings throughout the various divisions of the company,” says, Raymond Cooke, operations director CDE Global said.

Jackson will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a custom care growth strategy with a particular focus on the development and successful delivery of the full suite of custom care products and services. The focus will also be on developing coverage for the company’s range of preventative maintenance and asset care programmes by ensuring that plant efficiency for the customer remains an integral part of the custom care offering.

CDE Global service manager Ryan Barker explains: “Our approach essentially monitors plant performance on a regular basis to ensure that efficiency levels are maintained, therefore ensuring final product specifications are not compromised. Carrying out regular maintenance inspections of plant will ultimately reduce downtime, increase operational efficiency and ensure that the customer is able to secure the maximum commercial value from the maximum volume of material.  Where a preventative maintenance programme is in place, CDE equipment is proven to achieve upwards of 95% plant availability.”

A CDE service engineer will carry out a site visit where a plant audit will be carried out in the form a detailed plant report, which will detail recommended maintenance regimes that will help improve plant performance, any potential health and safety issues which have been noted and a list of recommended spares. It is recommended that the customer holds in stock this list of spares to ensure that plant downtime is minimised if and when parts are required.
