At the International Mining Exhibition in Acapulco, Mexico (16-19 October), one of the most important trade fairs for the mining industry in Latin America, the
The Beckum,Germany-based group will present solutions for the bulk materials industry at the exhibition (Stands 30028 and 30030) including curved belt conveyors, one example from the product range.
Beumer says these are capable of transporting large quantities of bulk material from the quarry or mine to the factory or port cost-effectively and quickly, and are able to overcome long distances, steep gradients and tight curves, and can be individually matched to the particular task and topography.
“Depending on the requirement, Beumer offers open troughed belt conveyors for higher throughputs and larger mass flows as well as larger curve radii, and enclosed pipe conveyors for products which need to be protected against the effects of the environment,” says Beumer.
“The innovative belt conveyors are used throughout the world. At the port of Callao in Peru, for example, Beumer will be installing several pipe conveyors with a total length of around 3km for transporting copper, lead and zinc concentrates for completion in 2014. In Malaysia, as main contractor, Beumer is equipping a new distribution center off shore with 17 troughed belt conveyors with a total length of 12km for a large iron ore exporter. The conveyors will ensure swift transport of iron ore from super-size freighters to the mainland.”
Prior to this event, Beumer will also exhibit at CeMAT Russia 2013 in Moscow from 24-27 September when it will provide information on its solutions from the three company divisions: conveyor and loading equipment, palletising and packing technology, and sortation and distribution systems.
