Frischbeton Schwenk, Germany, to relocate Blaustein plant

Frischbeton Schwenk is planning to relocate its concrete production plant from Braunstein to the Wippingen stone quarry in Germany, of which Schwenk is the sole operator. The company plans to invest around €4 million, and if all goes as planned Schwenk could start concrete production at the new location at the beginning of 2015.

Sievert Group takes over Schwenk Putztechnik

Sievert, the Osnabrück, Germany-based construction materials group, has acquired Ulm-based Schwenk Putztechnik from Schwenk Zement for an undisclosed sum.

Schwenk Putztechnik has 360 staff and generates annual sales of around €100 million.

It produces plaster and mortar products and thermal insulation composite systems.
