Russia: BaselCement boosts production and revenue in 2013

Production of cement and clinker at BaselCement's plants in Russia grew 15% in 2013 as compared to 2012, to almost 1.5 million tonnes. Production of crushed stone grew 27% to 420,000m3 while production of mineral powder went up 7% to 230,000tonnes. BaselCement's revenue grew 11% and over RUB 665 million (€14.02 million) was invested by the group in its plants' development. Production of cement and clinker at 4565 Baselcement's plants in Russia grew 15% in 2013 as compared to 2012, to almost 1.5 million tonnes. Production of crushed stone grew 27% to 420,000m3 while production of mineral powder went up 7% to 230,000tonnes.

Baselcement's revenue grew 11% and over RUB 665 million (€14.02 million) was invested by the group in its plants' development.

In 2014, Baselcement intends to run a number of investment projects and enhance performance with plans to expand further into the market of the Central Federal District of Russia (by boosting output of Serebryansky Cement Plant in the Ryazan region) and to strengthen its presence in Siberia. The measures are supposed to double the company's EBIDTA.
