International construction equipment manufacturer
The company, which has proven successful in selling Chicago Pneumatic’s pneumatic and hydraulic products, has now extended its offering to include the brand’s diesel-powered portable compressors and generators.
“We are very pleased to become a fully authorised Chicago Pneumatic distributor. Chicago Pneumatic is well-known in the UK for providing a wide range of rugged and reliable construction equipment at competitive prices, and this agreement further expands and improves our existing offering,” says Andy Harper, Harper Plant’s managing director.
Founded in 2003, Harper Plant is based in Lopcombe, County Wiltshire, and has a well-established customer base across the south-west of England, including Counties Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and West Sussex. The company has been dealing with Chicago Pneumatic equipment since 2005, when it started distributing CP hydraulic breakers to complement its offering of excavators.
With a team boasting over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Harper Plant is now able to fully support Chicago Pneumatic customers by offering an effective after-market parts service, in addition to operating a workshop and mobile service for maintenance and repairs.
Colin Frost, business development manager at Chicago Pneumatic, says: “With the approach of always being close to customers, and a reputation for being able to support products across their whole lifetime, we are delighted to extend our partnership with Andy and the Harper Plant team.”
The new distribution agreement with Chicago Pneumatic provides Harper Plant with access to a wide variety of user-friendly and cost-effective construction and portable energy products. This enables Harper Plant to further meet the diverse needs of its wide customer base, which includes owner operators and small builders as well as tool hire and plant hire companies.
“Chicago Pneumatic offers extremely reliable products that always ‘do what they say on the tin’ and are ideal for the British construction market,” Harper added.
