Simex crusher buckets could sell well in Qatar – Issa Kopty

Buckets, breakers and rippers are not the only attachments in use in quarry and construction applications, particularly those that involved recycling of material.

The crusher bucket is becoming an increasingly popular means of recycling construction and demolition waste, to provide reusable aggregate.

3131 Simex has launched the VSE 40, a screening bucket with a patented mechanism that allows the operator to change the size of the screened material from the cab at the touch of a button. The company claims that all similar products require 8-10 hours of work to change the setting.

The VSE 40’s patented technology relies on two outer shafts that can be moved in and out to lessen or increase the distance from a central shaft.

Simex has also been outlining a planned expansion into new strategic markets which includes teaming up with QBC Heavy Equipment Division (HED), Qatar’s leading distributor of construction machinery.

“We represent world-renowned brands covering the whole spectrum of heavy equipment,” says Issa Kopty, general manager of QBC HED.

“We were looking to complete our range of products and Simex fits our strategic needs perfectly, especially when it came to double-drum cutter heads.”

Kopty also sees a demand for Simex crusher buckets in his market.

“These are certainly a product that could sell well here. We are also looking at the trenchers, but often specifications call for wider trenching widths, so we are working with Simex to evaluate a specific product.

“Qatar is undergoing enormous expansion and unlike other countries, infrastructure works are being planned for well into the future.”
