New UK deal for Loadrite
On-board weighing equipment producer Loadrite has announced that it has signed a deal with UK-based Halomec to be its exclusive distributer in the region. Under the deal, the mobile equipment aftermarket solutions specialist will also help to promote Loadrite's technology in Europe. According to Loadrite, its equipment can be installed on excavators, materials handlers, wheel loaders, conveyors, crushers and screens to provide ultrasensitive, high accuracy weighing with powerful process and data management
CAT plans new parts centre
Caterpillar has announced plans to open a new parts distribution centre in Dubai to enhance the distribution network in the Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Cat has said that the planned 41,000m2 facility is the third such centre added to the company's global service parts distribution network in the last fi ve years
Cat upgrades offering
Caterpillar has unveiled its new B Series articulated dump trucks, which it claims improves comfort, efficiency and productivity. The new models are the 753B, 740B and an ejector body model, the 740B EJ and are the first major upgrades since the company launched 700 series range in 2000. Sandvik claims that its new Compressor Management System (CMS) will help customers to save money and reduce their impact on the environment during blast hole drilling operations. The new system carefully manages the volume of air required at all times, so that the compressor only runs at full volume when needed. The company has said that this allows full productivity but with lower fuel costs and reduced emissions
