HeidelbergCement backing for 3D concrete house build

Layer by layer, Europe's largest residential building is currently being printed in Bavaria, Germany, at a rate of 18 metres per minute. For this purpose, HeidelbergCement has delivered about 170 tonnes of printing material specially developed for concrete 3D printing.

While the US and Canada have seen several 3D-printed buildings in recent years, all those in the US have been single-story buildings. In market terms, over 50% of all constructed single-family homes in the US are, in fact, two stories or more, underlining the importance of 3D construction printing to go higher.
