Tiltrotator manufacturer
The Sweden-based company says the major investment programme is part of its commitment to accelerate global development of the tiltrotator market and to meet strong demand for Engcon’s products and systems.
The investment will include new CNC machines that use pre-programmed computer software installed at Engcon’s production facilities in Sweden over the next three years, allowing the company to triple annual production to 22,000 tiltrotators per year.
The new machines will initially be used to process the cast heart of the company’s tiltrotators. Previously, Engcon has made use of CNC facilities through a group of suppliers across different locations. The management of this new computerised and fully automated production facility will be handled by Strömsunds Kvalitetslego, who are embedded in Engcon’s production complex.
“This is a major investment for us, both in terms of our own capacity, but also in the potential that we see in the market,” said Krister Blomgren, CEO of Engcon Group. "Our calculations indicate these new machines and systems will triple our production capacity, while focusing on our systems in Strömsund means we will be better able to control and maximise potential across the entire production chain, giving us additional advantages compared to competitors."
The factory was inaugurated on 19 March.
