The German construction and quarrying equipment giant put its new 30-ton (27-tonne) model, due to come on to the global market in April 2020, through its paces in front of a large gathering of industry trade media during the 24-25 October event, co-hosted by the company’s facilities in Kirchdorf an der Iller, Germany, and Nenzing, Austria.

Other new and forthcoming models being highlighted during the two-day showpiece event are the LB 16 unplugged – said to be the world’s first battery-powered piling rig - and the LH 80 crawler excavator. Like the TA 230 ADT, the LH 80 unit was being put through semi-autonomous testing on Wednesday at Liebherr’s state-of-the-art Kirchdorf an der Iller test track.
