DTU has patented a method for electrodialytic separation of secondary raw materials. It is now hoping to enter into cooperation with the construction sector to use the wastewater sludge ashes, that have been purified from phosphorus and heavy metals, as a replacement for cement in concrete production. This could make it possible to market such concrete as a green product.
This is part of DTU's project Zerowaste Byg.
