The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) Gold certificate is the highest achievable rating for CSC aggregate certifications

Heidelberger Sand und Kies - a German-base sand and gravel producing subsidiary of HeidelbergCement - said that, with scores up to 96%, nearly all of its plants scored the best result so far achieved for CSC aggregate certificates worldwide. The certificates were issued by FIZ-Zert/Germany.

Thomas Wittmann, MD of Heidelberger Sand und Kies, said: “We are proud to see the first CSC certificates for our aggregates business line. With this, we complete and supplement the CSC value chain of HeidelbergCement and Heidelberger Beton Germany. The outstanding results demonstrate our sector’s commitment to responsible sourcing practices along the entire supply chain."
