Karelia stone output to increase

According to the Ministry of Economic Development, crushed stone production in the Republic of Karelia (North-West) will be 12,000tonnes in 2012; 13,000tonnes in 2013, 15,000tonnes in 2014 and 17,000tonnes in 2015. In 2011, the figure should rise to 11,000tonnes (10,280tonnes in 2010). Experts believe that the mining complex of Karelia can produce 18,000-20,000m³ of crushed stone per year. At the same time, the North-West of Russia requires 122million tonnes of crushed stone per year.

According to the 4299 Karelian Ministry of Economic Development, crushed stone production in the Republic of Karelia (North-West) will be 12,000tonnes in 2012; 13,000tonnes in 2013, 15,000tonnes in 2014 and 17,000tonnes in 2015.

In 2011, the figure should rise to 11,000tonnes (10,280tonnes in 2010).

Experts believe that the mining complex of Karelia can produce 18,000-20,000m³ of crushed stone per year.

At the same time, the North-West of Russia requires 122million tonnes of crushed stone per year.
