Fergus Ewing MSP, Scotland’s Minister for Business, Energy and Tourism, has opened a new asphalt plant at Daviot quarry near Inverness, Scotland, which represents a £2.2 million investment in the area by Breedon Aggregates, Scotland’s leading independent building materials company.
Breedon’s new state-of-the-art Marini plant will be capable of producing up to 180tonnes of asphalt per hour, substantially more than the previous plant on the site, and it also has a significantly larger hot storage facility
