The Terex Finlay C-1550 is the latest addition to the Terex MPE range of tracked mobile cone crushers.
It is the largest cone crusher launched to date by Terex MPE and joins the proven Terex Finlay C-1540 and C-1540RS models.

Ireland-based CDE Global has added the Rotomax RX150 logwasher to its product range to offer improved levels of attrition for washing applications. The company has said the RX150 is the most significant development since the first Rotomax model was launched in 2003 due to the improvements in the shaft and paddle designs. The paddles are constructed from high chrome cast iron - the same specification of material as used in impactor crushers and far exceeds the specification of paddles within other logwashers

Use of effective crusher backing compounds and release agents is critical to enhancing the life of crushing equipment used in the quarrying industry, according to ITW Korroflex. The company has said that impact and shock vibrations can cause significant damage when in service unless the right compound is used for the climatic conditions.

Cat's local dealer Jordan Tractor provides a complete service contract for Advanced Crusher Company's two quarries - 20hours a day at Al-Hallabat and 24 hours a day at As-Sweimeh. "The customer is keen to keep track of productivity and availability and is focused on zero downtime," said Jordan Tractor parts and service manager Amin Amireh.

Reduced capital expenditure plans means that more quarries are opting to rebuild and repair crushing equipment rather than invest in new machines. Difficult economic times call for a different approach to business, and for the crushing market this is driving greater acceptance of repaired or rebuilt machines. Even where funds exist for new investment, this is currently more focused on the mobile market to ensure full flexibility.

Greater efficiency and higher quality crusher components manufacturing is promised by Sandvik with the announcement plans for investment in a new 6000m2 factory in Svedala, Sweden. The new SEK300million (€32.4million) plant will be fitted with the most modern production equipment for manufacturing key components for Sandvik's crushers, which are assembled not only in Svedala, but also in other countries.

Atlas Copco enters the mobile market Atlas Copco has expanded its offering to the quarrying sector with acquisition of Austria-based mobile crushing and screening manufacturer Hartl Anlagenbau. The company has said that entering the growing mobile crushing and screening market will strengthen the group's position in the area of quarrying and recycling.
