Cemex has supplied the first 63,310 cubic metres of concrete for the construction of the Torre Mítikah tower in Mexico City. Once complete, the building is expected to become the tallest tower in the city with a height of 267.3 metres.
Through the contract, Cemex has already supplied high-resistance and high-fluidity concretes for the building’s infrastructure. The company has also deployed several teams to deliver customer service, provide technical advice and programnme the concrete supply's exact timing and quantity.
Luis Guillermo Franco, vice president of sales to builders at Cemex Mexico, says: “We work closely alongside our customer for this monumental project. Thanks to our experience participating in the construction of some of the tallest buildings in Mexico City, we have been able to foresee the challenges to come and offer the best solutions to overcome them.”
The tower is part of the Mítikah complex, which integrates several mixed-use buildings such as residential and office areas, medical offices and a shopping centre. The complex, designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, is expected to be inaugurated in 2021.
