Volvo Construction Equipment has appointed Scott Young to serve as vice president uptime and customer support for the Americas sales regions, effective 1 June.
Volvo CE says Young will support North and Latin America teams in developing projects aimed at increasing machine uptime and customer support. He will work with Volvo CE’s dealer network to support the implementation of new technologies and business models.
Young will work from the Pennsylvania-office, reporting to president sales region Americas Stephen Roy.

Young was previously Volvo CE's director of electromobility and automation, where he led programmes to develop these technologies, including those demonstrated in the company's electric site project as well as the recent announcement on electric compact machines. He has also held roles as electromobility program manager, director of strategy and district business manager.
Young says: "I’m energised to join the Americas team and look forward to helping our customers in North and Latin America maximize uptime to improve their performance and return on investment. With the advancement of new technologies we are in a very exciting time in our industry, and I’m eager to support our dealers to deliver efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.”
