In the UK, the World Cement Association has welcomed Indian-based JK Cement to its organisation as part of a strategy to grow its network.
The Association says JK Cement has a grey cement capacity of 10.5 Mt, a grey cement capacity expansion by 4.5 Mt and produces white cement with an annual capacity of 0.6 Mt. JK Cement also manages a white cement plant in the United Arab Emirates which has an annual capacity of 0.6MT.
The company has also installed a waste heat recovery plant in India and won awards for its environmental and sustainability management, the association adds.
Norman Greig, secretary general of the World Cement Association, says: “We are delighted to welcome a leading member of the thriving Indian cement community and look forward to working together to promote and strengthen the goals of the global cement industry.”
