Holcim is reported to be planning to invest €7million in improving the operation of its plant at Lägerdorf in Germany. The work on installing new environmental technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is due to be completed by next summer.

Holcim starts construction of one of 'world's first' carbon-neutral cement plants

Holcim has started construction on what it says will be one of the world’s first carbon-neutral cement plants at Lägerdorf in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Holcim and the project partners thyssenkrupp Polysius and Linde Engineering say they are advancing CO2 capture on an industrial scale and contributing to the development of a CO2 economy in Germany. Image: Holcim

Holcim plans Slovakia investment
