Holcim's acquisition of VSH approved

Slovakia’s competition authority PMU has given the go ahead to Holcim’s acquisition of building materials producer Vychodoslovenske Stavebne Hmoty (VSH). The only condition to the deal is for Holcim to sell the cement terminal in Vlkanova in the Banska Bystrica region to an independent buyer.

Slovakia’s competition authority PMU has given the go ahead to 680 Holcim’s acquisition of building materials producer 4498 Vychodoslovenske Stavebne Hmoty (VSH). The only condition to the deal is for Holcim to sell the cement terminal in Vlkanova in the Banska Bystrica region to an independent buyer.

Holcim and Lafarge obtain merger clearances in the United States and Canada

Lafarge and Holcim have received final approval for their proposed merger from the competition authorities in the United States and Canada.

All competition approvals necessary for closing the transaction have now been obtained ahead of the expected closing in July 2015.
