VSH of Slovakia acquired by Holcim Slovensko

Holcim Slovensko, the Slovakia-based producer of construction materials and cement, has acquired Slovak construction materials company Vychodoslovenske Stavebne Hmoty (VSH). Thanks to this acquisition VSH’s new owner, part of Swiss firm Holcim, has over 1,000 employees in Slovakia and operates a large network of gravel and concrete companies nationwide. 7090 Holcim Slovensko, the Slovakia-based producer of construction materials and cement, has acquired Slovak construction materials company 4498 Vychodoslovenske Stavebne Hmoty (VSH).

Thanks to this acquisition VSH’s new owner, part of Swiss firm 680 Holcim, has over 1,000 employees in Slovakia and operates a large network of gravel and concrete companies nationwide. It also has two cement producers in Turna nad Bodvov and in Rohoznik.

As of this month Holcim Slovensko has a new management within the Holcim Central Eastern Europe cluster, which includes the company's units in Hungary, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic. Patrick Stapfer has been appointed the new head of the cluster and Holcim Slovensko, and has also become the chairman of the Slovakian unit. Holcim Slovensko has a basic capital of €42.32 million.
