As a general contractor, the steelworks company Mostostal Kraków, has entrusted BEUMER Group with the delivery of four high-capacity belt bucket elevators for the LafargeHolcim cement plant in Kujawy, Poland.

These systems are part of a project to improve the production and the quality of cement blends.

Mostostal Kraków will provide LafargeHolcim with cement silos as well as the corresponding conveying technology.

Komatsu Mining has finalised its US$3.7 billion acquisition of Joy Global.

Komatsu says it will keep the Wisconsin, USA mining equipment company’s headquarters in Milwaukee.

Joy Global will be renamed Komatsu Mining Corporation and operate as a subsidiary of Komatsu.

FLSmidth has signed a landmark contract with Prime Cement Ltd for engineering, procurement and supply of equipment for a full-scope cement grinding plant with a capacity of 700,000tonnes/year. The Sussex Emerald moth may not be a well-known moth that springs to mind but a monitoring project of this rare species is being supported by Cemex UK and four other five well-known organisations: EDF Energy, Butterfly Conservation, Natural England, and Magnox.
