Moroccan cement company Cimaf has inaugurated its second grinding line on its Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, site.
The new unit, which required a MAD 270 million (€25.04 million US$27.37 million) investment, should enable Cimaf to double production to 1 million tonnes/year, with the aim of covering all Ivorian needs.
The 2016 installed capacity is 4.2 million tonnes, while provisional demand stands at 3.4 million tonnes.
Capacity is expected to exceed 6.2 million tonnes in 2017.
