Cement firms to use WHR solutions in Vietnam

The Vietnam Building Material Association (VBMA) says energy-efficient technologies must be used by foreign investors. In 2015, waste heat recovery (WHR) solutions need to be implemented by cement manufacturers, which have a daily clinker production capacity of at least 2,500 tonnes. In 2015, waste heat recovery (WHR) solutions need to be implemented by cement manufacturers, which have a daily clinker production capacity of at least 2,500 tonnes. The move is part of the government's plan for the domestic cement industry to 2020. Every year, the country has a total capacity of 73.45 million tonnes. By 2015, the capacity is anticipated to increase to 81 million tonnes, based on VBMA data. Currently, there are 73 production lines and 51 cement plants in the country.
