436 Komatsu Europe International has introduced the PW148-10 wheeled excavator, a new short tail machine.

Powered by a Komatsu SAA4D107E-2 engine that is EU Stage IIIB emissions certified, the new excavator has operating weights ranging between 13,725kg-15,580kg, and offers a net 90kW at 2,000rpm. It is more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, depending on the application and conditions, with the improved efficiency coming in part from the variable-flow turbocharger that provides optimal airflow under all speeds and load conditions.

The PW148-8 is supported by Komatsu CARE, a complimentary maintenance program for Komatsu customers that comes as standard with every new Komatsu EU Stage IIIB construction machine.

The latest KOMTRAX technology on the PW148-10 sends machine operating information to a secure website utilising wireless technology. Data such as operating hours, fuel consumption, location, cautions and maintenance alerts are relayed to the web application for analysis.
