Quarrying and aggregates producers along the old Silk Road look likely to benefit from 7340 XCMG’s new One Belt One Road Service Tour. On May 29 2015 ambassadors from twenty countries as far afield as Argentina and Angola attended the launch ceremony at XCMG’s headquarters in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.

One Belt One Road is an initiative set out by Chinese President Xi Jinping to promote trade and development broadly along the area of the former Silk Road which linked China with markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe. XCMG’s promotion has the theme of ‘New Silk Road, New Services.’ Quarrying and aggregate producers in the countries are set to benefit from free inspection and filters for XCMG machines. XCMG state that 10,000 machines are potentially included. Quarry operators will also be able to give their opinion on the performance of XCMG products with the feedback to be incorporated into improvements for existing and new models.

During the ‘Service Tour’, XCMG will strictly follow the principle ‘present first, inspect second, instruct third, inquire fourth, and feedback fifth’ to perform standardised operation. It will present free filters and then inspect the product’s performance indexes and maintenance records followed by instruction on how to rectify simple faults and perform correct maintenance. XCMG will also ask about customer’s purchase needs and service channel for spares.

The tour includes Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iran, the UAE, Turkey, Poland, Sudan, Angola, Ghana, Belarus, Congo, Vietnam, Egypt, and Argentina. XCMG is particularly strong in Kazakhstan with an 80% market share. This is largely due to the support of Asrorov Bobir’s Texnika dealership. XCMG has KD factories in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Poland.

Additionally XCMG will build four spare parts centres in Russia, Algeria, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia, along with 11 spare parts outlets in markets including Russia, Mongolia, Thailand, Cambodia, Turkmenistan, USA, and Canada. By increasing network coverage and refining the local networks XCMG’s customers will benefit from quicker supply of spare parts.
