Lucky Cement's profit grows by 15%

Lucky Cement of Pakistan registered 15% growth in consolidated profit to PKR 7.65 billion (€65.64 million/US$73.07 million) in six months to 31 December 2015 compared to PKR 6.66 billion during the same period in 2014. 7958 Lucky Cement of Pakistan registered 15% growth in consolidated profit to PKR 7.65 billion (€65.64 million/US$73.07 million) in six months to 31 December 2015 compared to PKR 6.66 billion during the same period in 2014.

The company's domestic sales of cement went up by 28% year-on-year (year-on-year) to 1.3 million tonnes in the fourth-quarter of 2015 but cement exports dropped by 31% y-o-y to 0.4 million tonnes after South Africa imposed anti-dumping duty.

Lucky Cement's consolidated profit rose by 14.2% y-o-y from PKR 3.65 billion to PKR 4.17 billion during the quarter and consolidated revenue remained almost flat at PKR 21 billion.
