According to data provided by Senegal's Directorate of Forecasts and Economic Studies (DPEE), the nation's cement output climbed by 17.3% year-on-year to 531,200tonnes in January 2016.
Meanwhile, the local cement sales in the country increased by 15.1% to 334,300tonnes, higher than the 290,600tonnes sold in the country in January 2015.
Further, export sales of cement leapt by 22.8% to 218,600tonnes, higher than January 2015's export sales of 178,000tonnes.
