The launch of the engine, built at the factory in France, expands John Deere’s mechanically-controlled engine portfolio to cover all major nodes from 30-200kVA prime.
The engine is built on John Deere proven PowerTech M 6.8litre platform and features a mechanical fuel injection system and after-cooling which provides high load acceptance and fuel efficiency in a competitive yet exceptionally reliable package.
In addition to the mechanically-controlled fuel system, John Deere added other features to simplify maintenance. These include single-side servicing and a 500-hour service interval. The 50Hz/60Hz dual frequency ratings make it possible for OEMs to cover different geographical requirements with one common product.
“As with all our engines, we tested it in the most arduous conditions to guarantee performance in diverse, real-life applications.” says Arnaud Blanchard, product manager at John Deere Power Systems in Saran, France.
In EU countries, the non-certified 200kVA engine can be used for stationary generator sets. In non-regulated countries, it can additionally be used for mobile units.
