Spanish markets drops to 1930s levels

A lack of construction projects in Spain has led to cement usage levels being as low as they were in the 1930s, the Spanish cement production company 939 Cementos Portland Valderrivas says. The year 2007 is cited as a record year for cement consumption with 57 million tonnes being produced. In the current year the figure has reduced to some 14 million tonnes.
