Xylem well set for 2021 growth after exceeding 2020 expectations

Xylem, a leading water and pump technology provider for global industries including quarrying, reported fourth-quarter revenue of US$1.37 billion, and full-year 2020 revenue of $4.88 billion. The figures exceeded expectations on strengthening end-market performance, despite COVID-19 related impacts.

Hanson transfers more quarry land to RSPB conservation scheme

Aggregates producer Hanson is marking 20 years of its wetland project with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) at Ouse Fen in Cambridgeshire, UK with the transfer of a further 80 hectares of restored land from its Needingworth quarry to the nature reserve.

 The additional land brings the RSPB Ouse Fen conservation site to 298 hectares
