Tarmac backing conservation in England’s Peak District

Tarmac is providing much needed funding to help the Peak District National Park in England employ a new member of staff to support its conservation volunteering programme.

New MPA report highlights how mineral products are key to Britain’s growth

Great Britain produces 360million tonnes/year of aggregates and manufactured mineral products, with the mineral products industry recording a £20 billion annual turnover, according to a new MPA (Mineral Products Association) report.

Haver & Boecker’s new time-saving Split-Bucket Mounting System

Haver & Boecker has introduced the Tyler F-Class Split-Bucket Mounting System. The new solution is said to offer simplified maintenance and bearings change outs for operators, while also halving service downtime. The rubber mount housing, or split-bucket system, provides operators easy access to critical components, such as rubber mounts and body brackets.

FM Conway relocates headquarters to Sevenoaks, England

Leading infrastructure services company FM Conway has completed the relocation of its head office to Sevenoaks in county Kent, England.

FM Conway has been based in Dartford, Kent since 2000, with its head office, workshops and a large materials recycling facility based at Rochester Way. The move will see 250 FM Conway employees moving to the new headquarters in Sevenoaks, including all of the company’s support staff as well as its senior management team.

McCloskey International highlights crushers

Hillhead 2016 visitors will get a closer look at McCloskey International’s jaw crusher duo, the J40V2 and J45R at the event in Buxton Quarry, county Derbyshire, England, from 28-30 June.

The J40V2 will be at work in the demo area, feeding an ST80T tracked stacker, and a J45R jaw crusher will be on display along with an I44 impact chamber.

Hæhre Entreprenør buys ten new Doosan DA40 ADTs

Hæhre Entreprenør, one of the largest contractors in Norway, has bought ten new Doosan DA40 Stage IV/Tier 4 final compliant articulated dump trucks (ADTs) from Doosan Bobcat, a subsidiary of Rosendal Maskin, the Doosan and Bobcat dealer for Norway, based in Askim.

Manufactured at the Doosan plant at Molde, Norway, the new trucks will replace five Doosan MT41 ADTs, each of which has provided between 12-15,000 hours of continuous hauling work on Hæhre projects throughout Norway.

US Federal Trade Commission clears HeidelbergCement’s proposed Italcementi acquisition

HeidelbergCement and Italcementi have reached an agreement with the United States Federal Trade Commission to allow HeidelbergCement’s acquisition of the Italian cement firm to proceed on schedule.
