With 417 exhibitors confirmed for the UK's Hillhead quarry equipment exhibition this year, there looks set to be plenty of new machines and products on display for visitors. Early indications of the UK debuts planned for the show suggest that manufacturers are working to help improve safety and efficiency as well as productivity on site.

KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens have released Facts & Figures, their latest pocket-size reference guide for the aggregates industry. It contains 216 pages of general technical information for aggregate and recycle producers, operators, engineers and maintenance personnel of KPI-JCI or equivalent crushing, screening, washing, and material handling equipment.

A new sand washing plant for Reddal Sand is said to have resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of the sand being produced at its site IN southern Norway. Reddal Sand, located in Grimstad, Aust-Agder, has supplied a variety of construction materials to major projects in the area since 1989, including materials for use in the manufacture of roofing tiles, concrete, road construction and various types of ground works (sports fields, playgrounds and golf courses).
