Iron Planet, an online market for used heavy equipment, is to host its first onsite and online auction in February in Florida, USA.

The auction from 21- 24 February, will be at the Fantasy of Flight attraction near Orlando.

“With equipment onsite, both our global bidders as well as the buyers located in Florida will be able to take advantage of our online auctions and exclusive IronClad Assurance, resulting in better prices for the equipment we sell,” says Greg Owens, chairman and CEO of IronPlanet.

Equipment can be previewed (starting 14 February) both in person at Fantasy of Flight and online through detailed inspection reports that come with the  company’s IronClad Assurance guarantee.

Buyers can place bids online in advance of the sale using IronPlanet’s PriorityBid service, and during the four-day auctions bids can be placed live at the auction or online through a computer, tablet, or mobile device.

Consignments for the auction are now being accepted, and sellers can auction equipment from their location or from Fantasy of Flight.
