Epiroc is now supplying Bio chisel paste for all its new hydraulic breakers.

The formulation is approved by the European Commission for use in environmentally sensitive applications, including in aggregates and quarrying.

The Bio paste is used to grease the wear bushings in the breakers and is based on special synthetic esters that Epiric says are easily biodegradable. The paste is intended to help prevent bushing wear and prolong working tool life.

The quarry is operated by EPC-UK, which specialises in the manufacture, storage and distribution of commercial explosives, and drilling and blasting services.
