Rapid International recently supplied Northern Ireland-based Lagan Tile with a new RP1000 Rapid Planetary Concrete Mixer to support the busy firm’s 24 hour production schedule. The Rapid mixer was also purchased due to its high capacity and increased levels of energy efficiency. It has been installed in Lagan Tile’s roof tile production plant located in Lisburn, County Antrim.

Mike Kerins is the new Mixing Division sales manager at the American subsidiary BHS-Sonthofen, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

BHS-Sonthofen has appointed him to further strengthen the sales team, which has quadrupled the number of mixers installed in North America since 2011.

The company is now offering its customers the option to carry out material and field tests at their own facilities by providing laboratory mixers on a rental basis from the Charlotte location.

FLSmidth has received an order from Fábrica Nacional de Cemento SA (FANCESA) for the supply of equipment to facilitate a complete cement production line with a capacity of 2,100tonnes/day, including plant design, procurement, and civil engineering services.

Cemex and Cemex Concretos are selling Cemex Concretos’ ready-mixed concrete pumping assets in Mexico to Pumping Team SLL (Pumping Team) for around US$80million, plus an additional $29 million purchase price contingent on future performance targets.

The assets being sold consist mainly of Cemex Concretos’ 507 ready-mix concrete pumping units and other related assets.

XCMG, the quarrying and construction equipment manufacturing giant, has staged an international conference to launch XCMG Schwing’s new S9 concrete machinery range.

Nearly 100 people, including representatives of concrete manufacturers from countries including Germany, France and Australia and XCMG dealers and clients from countries linked to the ‘One Belt, One Road’ project, including Pakistan, took part in the event on 29 July 2016 at the Chinese company’s HQ in Xuzhou, China.

Cemex UK has invested in a new £700,000 (€834,000) ready-mixed concrete batching plant at Moreton Valence in county Gloucestershire, England. The state-of-the-art plant replaces the existing plant in Gloucester, just over eight miles away.
