Graco’s new Compact Dyna-Star (CDS) automatic lubrication system provides some valuable space on crowded machine platforms.
“There’s limited real estate on a platform,” said Gabriel Elmhorst, senior global market sales specialist with Graco. “A little space makes a lot of difference.”
The Compact Dyna-Star has a smaller footprint that can be the difference between fitting on the platform of a vehicle – or being too large to be allowed. Yet the compact system still delivers high-capacity flow.
The largest mining and earthmoving machines will still need a larger-volume solution, Elmhorst said. But machines one size down – dozers, haul trucks and wheel loaders – will benefit greatly from the compact product.
“Built like our Electric Dyna-Star pump, the CDS fits into tighter spots and meets tighter budgets,” said Dan Jensen, Graco’s lubrication equipment division global product marketing manager. “Finally, there’s a ‘right-sized’ automatic lubrication system.”
When paired with Graco’s new Bluetooth-enabled GLC X controller and Auto Lube app, maintenance crews can monitor system performance, receive alerts and adjust configurations from their smartphone or tablet.
The Compact Dyna-Star is all but maintenance free. “There are no seals in the lower unit, so no seals to replace,” Elmhorst said. Some competing machines, by contrast, have dozens of lower-unit seals and, in addition, the gearbox oil never needs to be changed, he said.
